Professional Advisors

How We Work with Professional Advisors

MN JCF has a long history of working with attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, wealth managers, and other professional advisors, providing them with tools to engage their clients in charitable conversations to enhance their relationships.

Our affinity group, the Network of Philanthropic Advisors (NPA), centralizes that historical relationship building and provides professional advisors continuing charitable education, professional development, and networking opportunities to advance charitable planning and further strengthen partnership with the Twin Cities’ professional advisor community.

The MN JCF offers the Network of Philanthropic Advisors (NPA), a network of trusted Twin Cities professional advisors dedicated to building relationships and integrating charitable planning as a strategy for achieving clients’ over goals. When a professional advisor first joins the NPA, they participate in a workshop series that gives them the opportunity to meet and learn from philanthropy professionals and colleagues to discuss approaches to engage with clients, to strengthen their relationships with clients, advance charitable planning, and to connect with other charitably-minded advisors.

After completing the workshop series, NPA participants officially join the NPA alumni and will have ongoing opportunities to network with other NPA alumni, increase their education about giving, and thereby their professional development.

The NPA is open to, and intended for, all professional advisors regardless of religion and may offer continuing education credit for attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors.

Becoming an NPA Advisor

To join the NPA, an advisor must complete three core workshops presented by MN JCF in the first year. To maintain recognition, a member must attend at least one NPA event annually or meet with MN JCF staff.

Please contact MN JCF staff for dates and times of the workshops and annual event.
